This has contributed to the growth of the Mar Thoma community in Bangalore over the years. Around the year 2013 – 2014, the parishioners from the J P NAGAR / JAYANAGAR prayer group of the “Marthoma Syrian Church, Primrose Road, Bangalore” felt that since there was a sizeable population in this prayer group it was time to think of forming a new parish in south Bangalore.

Mar Thoma Church History
Malankara Mar Thoma Syrian Church (Malayalam: മലങ്കര മാര്ത്തോമ്മ സുറിയാനി സഭ, Malankara Mar Thoma Suriyani Sabha) otherwise called as Mar Thoma Church in a shorter form,which is a part of the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church. is one of the ancient Churches in the world.
Ministries
Sunday School
Sunday School classes are conducted on all Sundays at 10.30 AM as per the curriculum provided by the Marthoma Sunday School Samajam.
Sevika Sanghom
The Mar Thoma Suvisesha Sevika Sanghom the women's wing, was inaugurated during the Maramon Convention, under the leadership of Abraham Mar Thoma Suffragan Metropolitan, who gave the Sanghom continued support and inspiration.
Edavaka Mission
Edavaka Mission is the unit of the above organization in each Marthoma Church. All the members of the parish who are involved in any voluntary mission work are bonafide members of the Parish Mission.
Yuvajana Sakhyam
We have a large Yuvajana Sakhyam group with an overall emphasis to Worship, Study, Witness and Serve. The Yuvajana Sakhyam is actively involved in all Parish programmes.
Choir
Our choir is affiliated to the Department of Sacred Music & Communications (DSMC) of the Marthoma Church. Every year, new members are inducted into the choir after a voice test. At present, we have 30 members in our choir.
